Growing Since 1951.
In 1951, Norwin and Shirley Heimos planted the seeds of what would become one of the country’s largest greenhouse operations — starting with a small produce stand and a passion for growing things well. Seventy-five years later, the greenhouse has joined American Farms, a fellow member of Hoffmann Family of Companies, and the future is brighter than ever.
Plants don’t take weekends off, and neither do we. Every geranium, poinsettia and hanging basket that leaves our greenhouses carries three generations of hands-on care and the same standard Norwin and Shirley set from the start.

First Greenhouse
Norwin Heimos established his first greenhouse growing poinsettias & geraniums.
1974
Second Greenhouse
A second greenhouse is added to accommodate new growth needs.

1,500,000 Square Feet
N.G. Heimos Greenhouses exceeds 1,500,000 Square Feet of Greenhouse space.
2025
Hoffmann Family Acquisition
Heimos acquired by HF Companies and joins the firm’s rapidly growing agricultural vertical.
